Several Detentions Carried Out After Trump and Epstein Images Displayed on Windsor Castle

Several individuals have been detained after images of Donald Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were projected onto the historic castle on Tuesday evening, as the US president's arrival in the UK.

Police Action and Detentions

Local authorities stated that the suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of "public order offenses" following what they referred to as a "public stunt." The detainees comprised a 60-year-old from East Sussex, two London residents aged 36 and 50, and a 37-year-old from Kent.

Police noted that law enforcement acted quickly to halt the display on the royal residence, where Trump is scheduled to greet King Charles during his official trip.

Context of the Event

Trump had ties to Jeffrey Epstein during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. To date, Trump has never been formally accused with any wrongdoing in connection with the late businessman.

The visit follows just a week after the UK's ambassador to the US was dismissed over his association with the convicted sex offender.

Wednesday morning, a vehicle could be seen in the town displaying an image of the two figures along with the message: "Hello Donald, welcome to Britain."

Police Measures and Demonstration Arrangements

A significant police operation has been deployed throughout Windsor, with over a thousand personnel assigned to oversee events in the capital amid planned protests by activist groups.

At the same time, the president and his wife will attend a meal with representatives of the Royal Family, pay respects the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II, and give a address at a formal dinner.

Demonstrators gathered in Windsor prior to the arrival, emphasizing the divisive aspect of the state visit.
